PRIVACY AND CONSENT POLICY

This Privacy and Consent Policy governs the manner in which Benevate, Inc. d/b/a Neighborly Software (“Neighborly Software”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users of our cloud-based software solution. By accepting this Privacy and Consent Policy, you are stating that you understand, acknowledge, and agree to the following:

Overview of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

In applying for assistance, you will be required to input PII into the Neighborly Software platform. PII is any data that could potentially identify a specific individual. Examples of PII include your name, social security number (which may or may not be required), street address, e-mail address, financial information, etc. Neighborly Software will collect and maintain your PII (that you voluntarily submit) on behalf of the jurisdiction administering the program (the “Customer”). Your PII will be maintained electronically in Neighborly Software’s secured system.

Information Collected Other Than PII

By accessing Neighborly Software, your browser information, device information, and IP address will automatically be collected for security and quality control purposes. More specifically, by collecting the IP address, we can detect suspicious activity or unauthorized access attempts. Browser information is used to ensure that the app supports the browser and/or to troubleshoot issues or provide guidance pertaining to a specific browser and its version. Lastly, device information is also collected to troubleshoot any issues that a user may report.

How We Protect Your Information

We adopt appropriate security measures as well as data collection, storage, and processing practices to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your PII. Access to your PII on the Neighborly Software platform is password-protected, and data is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and Neighborly Software.

Sharing Your Information

Neighborly Software does not share any of your information with any third-party except for the Customer or as required by law. All data collected to administer this program, including any PII entered, is owned by the Customer. Following the completion of the program, the Customer may choose to continue to store the data with Neighborly Software. Alternatively, all data is provided to the Customer via a secure transfer to comply with record retention requirements mandated by applicable rules, regulations, and/or laws. All data is permanently destroyed by Neighborly Software after it has been provided to the Customer. Neighborly Software has no ability to control the data once it is provided to the Customer and the Customer is solely responsible for maintaining and ensuring the security of said data. 

Permissions You Are Granting

By accepting this Privacy and Consent Policy, you are granting Neighborly Software permission to collect and store your browser information, IP address, and any PII entered into the system. Further, you are granting Neighborly Software permission to (i) use such information and data to improve and enhance its system and/or (ii) disclose such data solely in aggregate or other de-identified form in connection with its business.

Updates

Neighborly Software reserves the right to update this Privacy and Consent Policy periodically and without prior notice to you. We will post a notice on the Neighborly Software portal that points to this Privacy and Consent Policy to notify you of any substantive changes to the way we collect, maintain, or use your information. Any changes will become effective upon posting of the revised Privacy and Consent Policy on the portal. We will indicate at the bottom of this Privacy and Consent Policy when it was last updated.
