Chief People Officer
CHRISTINE
ROOKER
A passion for people and progress.
As the company’s first Chief People Officer, Christine is excited about this dream job which continues to mark a career of many “firsts”. Every role she’s held has been newly created requiring boldness, ingenuity, and a sense of adventure!
Her blended background in Information Systems and Human Resources allows her to utilize systems and data to take care of a company’s most valuable resource, it’s people.
Whether it’s scrapbooking, cooking, or playing games, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Christine graduated from Georgia State University as one of the first women to receive a BBA in Information Systems. (Yet another first!) After transitioning from IT to HR she earned her SHRM-CP certification. As a semi-native Atlantan, she married a true Georgia native. They enjoy walking their two dogs and visiting their three grand-dogs.
Two Truths and a Lie:
- Christine worked with local community leaders, supported by thousands of homeowners, mountain bikers and nature lovers, to save a 60-acre wooded park from destruction.
- Christine climbed to the summit of Mount Rainier in Washington state.
- Christine served as a volunteer at women’s field hockey during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
