A mission-driven, competitive hippie with a knack for fostering organizational growth and getting **it done.

Sydney has always worked in the social impact space, primarily in nonprofits. Inspired by passionate people working for the greater good, her goal is to help them maximize their impact. Never one to turn down a puzzle, Sydney loves to find hidden ways to improve operational efficiency and efficacy.

As Director of People Operations, Sydney works to build and maintain strong, positive company culture based on Neighborly’s company value statements, and ensure that culture supports each individual and team in their growth, development, and satisfaction. Outside of Neighborly Software, Sydney really leans into the hippie stereotype as a yogi, vegan (of course), and animal and environmental welfare activist.

Sydney graduated from University of Illinois – Chicago with a major in Communications and minors in Theatre and Psychology. She earned her M.B.A from Emory’s Goizueta Business School and has since begun pursuing HR certification. She lives in Atlanta with some cats and some plants.

Two truths and a lie:

  • Sydney was a volunteer caretaker at an elephant rescue in Thailand
  • Sydney snorkeled with whale sharks in the horn of Africa
  • Sydney’s sunglasses were stolen by a monkey in Costa Rica
